My Party Music DJ offers mobile DJ services for weddings and all sorts of parties and events, from family birthdays to company or charity events and dance parties, across Worcestershire, Herefordshire, Gloucestershire and the surrounding areas.

What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?

Ideally, we need to know the date, start and end times (ready to play and finish of playing), event type (e.g., wedding, birthday party etc.), and the venue/location. With that, we can give you a pretty accurate Quote (which can be firmed up later when all details are confirmed). We're always happy to chat about the details so do give us a call.

What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

In the first instance, have they covered this kind of Event before? Do they have Insurance cover (most Venues will want that)? Can they play the kind of music you want? What about an interactive PlayList that you can share for the more unusual tracks? Do they take requests, or do they only use a set PlayList? Can they cover more than just the evening party - e.g. provide background music during the meal? Do they have anything else to offer - e.g. radio mics for wedding speeches? Are they happy to work through the details of the event with you to make sure it is just what you want? Can they provide all the equipment - sound system, lights etc.?

Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.

In the first instance I wanted to provide a great DJ service at a reasonable cost. It also seemed crazy that Wedding costs were so high in some cases. I love both music and dancing (I also teach Salsa) so it was quite a natural progression to start the DJ business - and I had been DJing at Salsa sessions for quite some time before that too. I can also bring the Salsa teaching to Events as a unique extra that combines both aspects. I'm really keen to provide a quality service with plenty of interaction with my clients so that they feel looked after at every step.

Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?

I've only recently started advertising with Add to Event but it has provided quite a few contacts so far. One Event recently was a bit of a last-minute booking by the client who had been let down by another DJ (not uncommon it seems). I was able to step in and help them out and make sure that their Event went really smoothly. The client was really nice and has said they want to book me again in the future - which is great to know. I have included the Add to Event badge on my website too so that will help with linking between the two.
