What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?

To provide an accurate and comprehensive quote, we require the venue address, the number of people attending in order to supply an adequate sound system, start and finish times, music preferences and any running orders to adhere to, plus detailed information on our involvement, for example, introduction of speeches, or required announcements, etc

What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Remember to check genuine reviews on social media, google and Add to Event website before committing to a booking, correct insurances are in place, backup equipment and adequate vehicle with correct business use policy to carry equipment. It's also very important to inform suppliers how many guests will be attending in order to install an appropriate PA system.

Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.

I started this business simply for the love of music, and it's gone from strength to strength. I operate this business with passion in addition to being a professional business. I have been spinning tunes from the tender age of 13, so to say I’m an experienced DJ could be a slight understatement. I have memories of playing tunes from vinyl records back in the day and that certainly ignites feelings of nostalgia of days gone by. Incidentally, I still have all my old vinyl record collection stored in my garage and occasionally I take them out of storage and experience a little walk down memory lane. There's something really special about owning vinyl records, the smell, the feel, the sound quality and visual creases on the covers, and even the occasional beer stain takes me right back to the moment when each particular track was a hit. Fast forward to the current date and technology is leading the way, and technology is another passion of mine, so the two passions go hand in hand to complete the service I offer clients
