What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?

In order to provide an accurate quote we need more than just a date and venue for the event. The number of people attending determines the size of the sound and lighting system. We require the set up time and end time so that staff can be scheduled at the correct time and therefore we can work efficiently. Details like access routes, which floor level, plus any special conditions that we need to be aware of also helps us immensely.

What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

When booking a company to carry out work for you, make sure they comply to all legislation regarding music copyright, electrical safety requirements, and public liability insurance. When booking services, make sure you have a contract in place or at least terms and conditions so that you know exactly what you are booking and paying for. This will avoid disappointment and confusion. If you have wedding insurance they usually want to see a contract if ever you need to make a claim.

Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.

Unlimited Entertainment was born out of a long-standing fascination with music and lighting. Home made equipment was used to provide parties at home with family and friends. Eventually, after much saving and research, some professional equipment was purchased, more and more gigs were done and word soon got around that our dedication to customer satisfaction was paramount. People were having a great time wherever we played, with attention to detail as well as customer requirements winning us more and more business, and most of the work coming from word of mouth. As we played more venues for friends, family (and their friends), hotels, pubs, clubs and bars started booking us to provide their entertainment services. We now provide more than just a DJ, Disco or Karaoke. We supply bespoke solutions to make events unique and special based on your requirements. This is all we do and we love it. Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?

We have had the pleasure to provide services to such a wide variety of people and venues over the last few years. This is down to the help of Add to Event and the services they offer. We must get dozens of enquiries every week, which generates a large percentage of our business. We try to accommodate as many as we can but like most companies there are occasions where we are physically unable to accept all of the requests. We have grown the business year on year, bringing on new DJ's, new equipment and services too. I'm sure using Add to Event will indeed continue the growth of our business.
