What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?

We would need a brief description of the event, any extras they may be considering, along with a budget. For example, I would only pitch for jobs if I was in their budget.
Whether the venue is suitable for said service too. As I quoted for some light up letters, got into conversation discussing pricing, for the customer to advise after, that actually the room wouldn't be suitable.

What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Ask the provider about their experience. Ask about times they need to set up/pack down. Ask if they have the correct insurances/testing.
In my field ask about their music library and if they offer requests.

Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.

I have been providing AV services for around 10 years. I have also played in a function band playing a lot of high-class events. Not many mobile DJs have moved with the trends or styles, so I saw a gap in the market for a club style DJ, playing quality mixes with quality equipment.

Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?

I have been with Add to Event for a very short time, but have had a lot of requests through, but due to bookings I already have, have only been able to apply for a small number.
From that small number, I have already secured 2 bookings in a short space of time.
