What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?
We would first need to know the event date, you would be surprised at how many times we get asked are you available (without the event date)
we would also like to know a little bit about the event eg, the client would like to book entertainment for followed by whatever the event is
its also always nice to know furthermore / any information such as event times the amount of guests, venue access does the venue insist on no smoke machines, PLI insurance etc
What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
There are a lot of DJs & Discos out there, the best bit of advice is don't make the age-old mistake of booking your entertainment based on price, YES its always good to get a good price but it's far better to book your entertainer based on value & experience, it's far better to communicate in person via the phone rather than emails so again I would advise a shortlist of entertainers who's emails ticked their box's followed by a phone call to those entertainers, have some questions read such as:
. What makes you different from all your competitors
. Do you have independent reviews I can look at
. Do you have PLI insurance, PAT test certificate for your equipment are DBS checked if dealing with children
. Do you have a failsafe backup plan should you be ill or your equipment fails

The concept of "The Complete Disco Service" was born in August 1989, out of pure LOVE of Music and seeing people have a good time and as the saying goes, "from small acorns large oak trees grow".
Starting out as a "one-man-band" led by Dave Dee we are now proud to boast 8 full-time DJs, 2 roadcrew, accountants, advisors and Kim who's in charge of admin. Our brand is now recognized nationally for its professionalism, experience, reliability and attention to detail.
All our equipment is regularly updated, carefully maintained and most importantly designed to impress. For your safety and reassurance, all equipment used carries a P.A.T Certificate (Portable Appliance Tested) and, in addition, all our DJs have public liability insurance to the value of £10,000,000.
Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?
I have had a lot of bookings over the years through Add to Event, One of my most memorable bookings is a while back now, I had bought £40 of credits and I ended up with just one credit left, I had spent £40 + vat on credits and not received one booking
I was determined not to purchase any more credits so had to wait for something to come in that was just 1 credit & it did it was light up letter hire.
I responded, got the booking, went to meet with the bride she loved everything about the service we provide and our company, so went on to book the "LOVE" letters as well as a DJ & Disco, dance floor photo mirror and full uplighting package total spend by that client was just under £1500.00
