What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?
To be able to quote you accurately I will need to know the following:
The name and town/city of the venue
What type of event is it EG Presentation night, 40th Birthday party, Normal club night,
The length of entertainment you require.
The average age of the audience.
What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
When booking comedy you should make sure you see a demo in the form of a showreel so you have at least an idea of what the Comedian or comedy act does.
Contact the entertainer to make sure they can adapt their material to your audience. It is no good booking a club comedian for a young audience or an adult comedian for a family event.
If the entertainer has no feedback on Add to Event ask them for a link to their website or feedback in other locations such as Facebook.
Make sure the acts are willing to provide you with a contract this protects you and them.
If your event is public and not a private function make sure the act can provide suitable publicity both in the form of posters and online material and make sure the act carries public liability insurance.

I have been a comedian and comedy vocalist for over 30 years. My passion is making people laugh. Why do I love my job? Because I know that while I have an audience laughing for the time I am with them they have forgotten all those things that challenge all of us in our daily lives.
After all, laughter is the best medicine unless of course, you have a headache in which case Ibuprofen might be better.
