What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?

We need to know the date of the event, the venue, start and finish times. Also, the number of guests will we be hosting or catering for and whether the event is indoor or outdoor.

What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

We would advise to look at reviews and ask the provider about their products. Also, make sure there are no hidden charges so ask lots of questions.

Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.

Unique Entertainment & Events was started by a family that loves entertaining. Emma has been a singer for over 15 years and recently passed her event management diploma. Her husband Mathew has loved music from a very young age, discos are his passion which is showcased through each event he does, with his sidekick David. They have also been doing discos for over 20 years and this pair is unstoppable, playing the right tunes to get you on the dance floor. Our aim as a company is to make sure our customers have an event to remember, whether it's for a wedding, birthday or charity our dedication is the same. We want to make dreams come true and memories to last a lifetime.

Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?

90% of our bookings come from Add to Event and I am personally very happy with this and all the events we have done have been fantastic. we have met some lovely people. I couldn't pick just one event to speak about as we have enjoyed being part of them all. We have done many events with our sweet cart, which I really enjoy decorating to the customer's tastes.
The discos we have done, most of them give us playlists, which we enjoying as there are songs on there we would never consider playing. Most importantly though we like to have feedback from the customer so our services can be improved if needed or just knowing we have done a good job is always a positive end to all events.
