What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?
How many people, the date, time, special dietary requirements, duration of service. For us type of food and vehicle requirements are key. Would be good to know what type of electrical hook up they can offer. Many caterers use a 32 amp, 3 pin round plug not a standard 3-pin plug.
What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Ask questions about the ingredients used and where they are sourced. Ask about their hygiene rating and ask to see their insurance documents.
Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.
Construction got too hard work for my husband so we sold our concrete pump and bought a mobile food trailer instead. As a passionate foodie it was the obvious choice, as he loves cooking. We started trading on an industrial estate which gave us a great experience to learn our craft and from there we have developed it into a full-time events business.
Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?
I am a subscriber to several similar platforms although this is my favourite one. It drills down into far more detail than others. I would recommend it to others. The only thing I would like to see is that users should have to leave a verified phone number - this shouldn't be optional.
