What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?

We would like a realistic budget to work with as it is difficult to quote if the budget is not what it is
made out to be. If your event requires catering/bar/a venue within the budget then be sure to mention that as well. A valid contact number or email address is also helpful. Whether we can drive our vehicles into/onto the venue to unload and set up the equipment is vital information as well.

What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

It may rain on the day of your event and there is nothing anyone can do to change that so make sure to plan accordingly. Get an idea of how many adults and how many children you are expecting, and check if the supplier has a suitable range of equipment to cater for everyone. Make sure the venue is accessible from an early time. If your event starts at 11am and the supplier cannot gain access to a venue until 9am, the chances are that your event will not start at 11am.

Consider how you would deal with ensuring everyone eats and drinks. Some corporate clients will
pay for the food for their guest but run a cash bar in where everyone buys their own drinks.

Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.

Simply the Best Events was started 6 years ago by our MD who has been in the events industry for 20+
years. Based in Reading, he found a calling for the wider picture in the industry and started from the ground up. Now we run corporate fun days & team building events for some of the biggest companies in the UK.

Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?

There are some great leads through Add to Event. One of the best ones was a minis rugby club
end of season event on the Isle of Wight. The party was Pirate themed so we decorated the entire room out in that style. We brought in a Hypnotist and Comedian for the entertainment to spruce things up a bit. It was a simple event but the client was ecstatic with how the whole thing came together,
