What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?

For a complete and accurate quote, we would need a brief description of the event including location, as well as estimated numbers of guests (adults and children), hours required, and whether power will be available on site. If it is an event that has happened before (annually), we like to know how it went and what the footfall was like. We will then quote accordingly, and can provide options to suit every need.

What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Find out from the provider about which similar events they have done previously. Get them to send images of their setup, and links to their website and social media pages. This can give you an indication of how active and professional they are, as well as how good communication is with their clients, customers, and public.

Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.

My partner and I started our journey in Australia, working on food vans to fund our travels, and we soon found that we loved the lifestyle and variety that such a business brings. We learnt a lot from our employers and decided we wanted to try this venture ourselves. Upon returning home to the UK we did plenty of research until we settled on the idea of a donut trailer, and put our plans into action. King of The Ring Donuts (named due to my partner's passion for combat sports, and the unmistakable circular shape of donuts) was born, and we can't wait to see where it will bring us next!

Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?

We've had so many bookings through Add to Event, and find it is now one of our best resources for finding events - especially short notice ones. One event, in particular, was the Labyrinth Challenge - the world's longest continuous inflatable assault course in Brighton. Despite being quite a typical British overcast summer's day, this was a fantastic event (and we even got to have a go on the assault course ourselves!). We made great contacts with the venue, who have since had us back for multiple events.
