So that I can quote accurately for the client, I would like to know his / her venue & postcode, the occasion, eg a civil or church wedding ceremony, a drinks reception, a vow renewal, wake etc.

As my booking is usually by the hour, its helpful to know for how long the booking would be.
I like to tailor my performances to the client's requirements, so chatting to them about their event, the theme perhaps, or the age group of guests helps me to advise on a musical style to suit the client's preference.

Most importantly the client would ask about the harpist's experience, both in years and with the type of event he / she would like to book for. The price in terms of value for money is way more important than what appears to be the cheapest option.

I already had many years of experience as an orchestral harpist, working for the BBC SSO, Scottish Ballet and most major orchestras in the UK. I wanted to also experience the more personal field of special events, from weddings & vow renewals to funeral wake and anniversaries. Each occasion is of great significance to the client, so I strive to offer a professional service for any event and for every type of client.

Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?

First of all, it's important to note that the Add to Event platform is not only clear and helpful for the client, it is also clear for the musician.
For the client, he / she can read an "overview" of the musician as well as photographic and sometimes video clips.
For the musician, he / she is able to give information which, if correctly presented will inform the client swiftly and efficiently.
