GHK Catering
Based in Somsert, GHK Catering have over 20 years experience in catering and can provide their services, including full hog roast catering to anywhere in the South West of England. GHK take care of everything from start to finish - even handling the cleaning and packing of their area at the end of the event. Their trained staff can work in very small spaces and so can cover almost any event venue.
What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?
For us to provide a comprehensive quote to a customer we need the event date, a brief explanation of the type of event they are hosting, the estimated number of guests and the address of their venue. From this we can use our experience and expertise to put together a competitive quote.
What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Ask what experience they have within the industry. Where did they train first? How did they get into the industry? How are they going to make your day better by using their services? Find out if their produce is local- local is of course better and it supports local businesses. Also find out if their hog roast hogs are free range.
Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.
GHK was started in 2015 by three partners after an extensive history within the industry. We all have various lines of expertise but it all comes together in order to provide an exemplary service to both the public and corporate worlds. The end goal is to ensure that all customers are happy at the end of the day. If they are happy, we are happy.
Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?
We had a request for a Staff Christmas meal, which turned out to be an excellent event. The client was easy to talk to, happy to take suggestions, and happy on the day. Since then they return directly and regularly for future business, which is what it is all about. The best thing about it is there were 70 people there who all went and told others how good it was so some of those people have come back to us for quotes for various personal events that they are organising. We like to boast the fact that we use Add to Event, and advise other professionals to do so too.
