For a comprehensive quote, we need to know what sort of food they require, if they require full or self service and for how many people.
What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
You need to ask firstly about insurance cover, especially if it’s an outside event requiring gas supply, hygiene rating for home/mobile premises, and what experience they have with cooking full hogs as partly cooked pork can be dangerous if not cooked to the required core temperature of 63 degrees. Ask about the various menus, particular dietary requirements and if these can be met.
Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.
We started Party Pigs Hog Roast because we believed there to be a gap in the market for more than just a pork bap which most hog roast companies provide. When we cater for weddings, we can cater for all tastes and include curries, chillies and vegetarian dishes. We also provide a free party size pork pie personalised with the bride and grooms name. We also offer this for christenings in the form of teddy bear pork pies which feature the babies name.
Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?
We have catered for numerous events. The one that stands out recently, was for the new strongest man in the world Eddie Hall. When we provided a full takeaway style hog roast banquet, we had to ensure there was plenty of food, as the guests invited were all part of his gym so had huge appetites. We supplied a free a 1st pork pie with the Worlds Strongest Man logo and strongman made in pastry. Numerous guests remarked on the standard and quantity of the food.
