Based in Macclesfield, Cheshire, The Polo Club is a mobile bar hirer that works out of a 1970s vintage horsebox. They also provide rustic wooden pop-up bars, for a range of events from private to corporate events.
What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?
For me to provide a comprehensive quote to a customer, they need to be sure of the difference between a dry hire, cash bar and pre paid bar. As I come across this problem a lot, they do not understand the difference. I also feel there is a lot of time wasters and therefore my credits get waster "maybe charge customers for there quotes".
What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Firstly, ask if they are willing to travel. Also, ask if they have certain licences, and how many members of staff they will provide - this is very important to have no less then 3 bar staff for a wedding of 80+ people.
Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.
The Polo Club began as a vintage bar hirer for weddings, corporate events and festivals. We wanted to provide rustic vintage bars to our clients. We love to work with our rustic wooden bars and our vintage horse boxes. We really enjoy seeing peoples day come together and being apart of their special event,

We have had fantastic bookings through Add to Events and have worked with some wonderful people. Weddings are our favourite, as it's special to be a a part of someones special day, and everyone is in great celebrating form.
