What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?

For me to provide a detailed quote to a customer it would be perfect if you could include the type of event, the event date, how many guests there will be and the location including the postcode.

What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

If you are looking to hire a vintage ice cream van I would thoroughly recommend you check that the van in the pictures belongs to the advertiser and is the actual van you will be getting! Check the advertisers website and social media platforms, to establish if they have been trading for a while and are experienced in running a classic vehicle.

Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.

I started my business 6 years ago after a career in nursing and the police force, and was looking for a massive change doing something I could put my stamp and personality on.
My partner is an ex-army mechanic and we both have a love of classic vehicles, so he maintains my van whilst I run the business.

Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?

I have had many bookings through Add to Event and would thoroughly recommend it to others. Taking my van along to serve at weddings is always fabulous but I enjoy other events just as much. I was booked through Add to Event for a Cambridge University Polo Day. Ice cream, Pimms, polo and sunshine - such a perfect day!
