What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?

For us to provide an accurate quotation it is important that we know the exact venue of the event. We also require the date and times that we would be required to attend. We would also need to know the number of guests that we would need to be catering for.

What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

I would always look at the photographs that the provider is offering to see the sort of events that they have catered for in the past. I think it is also important to ask where they get their ice cream from as we use a local supplier who is probably more expensive than most but they are the best. Always check that they are requesting lots of information from you as its important that they want to make your event a success.

Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.

I have worked in the ice cream industry for many years and love the company I work for, but especially the product that they produce. I felt that there was a gap in the market for someone to provide ice cream at events and weddings in a beautifully presented horsebox. After lots of searching, I found an established business that had been trading successfully for sometime and purchased their already converted horsebox from them. I did lots of work to it to ensure it was to the standard I wanted, but now it is a very successful and busy business and we are making lots of people very happy with our ice cream.

Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?

We have received lots of referrals through this platform and feel it has allowed us to grow our business substantially quicker than we ever though possible. We attended a wedding a few weeks ago and it was one of the most fabulously, well designed, perfect weddings. The theme was of a festival nature with lots of street food vans, vintage cake vans etc. and of course we sat perfectly alongside them. The client was exceptionally happy to have found us through your website as she had never heard of us before. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend this site as it really has been a fantastic benefit for our business.
