What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?
For us to provide a comprehensive quote to a customer, ideally we need the event date, a brief explanation of the type of event they are hosting, the estimated number of guests, and a potential venue, whether it's an indoor or outdoor event. From this, we can use our experience and expertise to put together a suitable equipment list and design.
What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
It costs caterers to respond to your query. It is vital to give as much information as possible upfront so that caterers can make an informed decision, also you get the most suitable options for your Event.
Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.
Indie Veggie is an eco and ethical vegan and vegetarian specialist caterer using fresh ingredients cooked on the day. Good food, fresh ingredients and authentic recipes are the basis of all cooking at Indie Veggie. These recipe and methods have been passed down from close family. I was exposed to authentic and unforgettable street food in Mombasa, Kenya such as kachri bateta, bhel, chana bateta, samosa chaat and maru bhajia. These recipes are an explosion of flavours that don't disappoint.
Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?
I have catered at events such as festivals, Cheltenham races and weddings and hope to get many more through Add to Event.
