What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?

To provide a comprehensive quote, we would require the date of the event, the location of the event and the timings for the event.
If the enquiry is for our unique battery operated light up letters we would require how long the hire is for.
For our temporary tattoo station, we would need to know the length of time we would be required to tattoo.

What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

In terms of light up letters - if they are not battery operated ask to see the PAT certificate. Venues won't allow anything electric to be used without it. Are there any other costs? Some suppliers will charge extra for delivery and collection, especially if collection has to be "out of hours". Is a damage deposit required? Some companies have extra damage deposits. Always look at suppliers terms and conditions. Our letters terms and conditions have extra charges for significant damage.

When it comes to temporary tattoos - does the company have public liability insurance? This is important if you are hiring them to come to your event. Are the tattoos themselves EC/EEA/EU compliant? There are regulations and standards for temporary tattoos.

Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.

Doris Loves was started out of the wedding of our owner. We were one of the original light-up letter companies before they had even become a "thing" in the wedding and event industry.
The tattoos were also an addition to the wedding.
Friends and family loved them so much - Doris Loves was born!

Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?

We treat all events the same whether its a birthday party, wedding or corporate event. Our letters make a statement and our temporary tattoos are great fun for all.
As our letters are battery operated we have the option to send via our courier or set up by hand.
Our Tattoo Station, you can either hire us to tattoo your guests or we can provide a DIY tattoo station in a box which means you tattoo yourselves!
