What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Organising an event can be stressful at times, but we aim to take the stress away. We can answer any questions you may have, whether it be the size of a marquee or even the type of marquee you require! But, be sure that you are not persuaded into purchasing something you may not need. If you are looking for a last minute shelter to cover guests at a BBQ, then there is no need for all the additional extras that may be offered to you. Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.

Project Marquee was set up from the garage of my mother's house. I wanted a marquee hire business that did not cost the earth to hire a marquee from, but did not compromise on quality either. I wanted customers to feel that they are not being ripped off and pressured into hiring all the extras that are not necessary. If you are having a party in the garden and need a little shelter for the guests, why spend £1.5k+ on a marquee that will only be used for a couple of hours, when you can spend £500 and still have a high quality/clean marquee fit for your event.

Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?

I was extremely happy once I had signed up to Add to Event. Around 40% of my bookings last summer came from them. We had jobs in Virginia Water / Bracknell / Dulwich / Iselworth and so on. Bracknell was one of my favourite bookings. We supplied a marquee for a 16th birthday party, in the grounds of a lovely house. The garden was incredible and the Pagoda marquee we set up looked amazing with the garden in the background. The client was very happy with how everything went and everything they asked for, we managed to deliver!
