What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?
For C&S to provide a comprehensive quote to a customer, we need the event date, a brief explanation of the type of event and the estimated number of guests with the location of the venue, From this, we can put together an accurate quotation.
A final request would be the budget available, not for any other reason than it helps prescribe the space required without overestimating. Our marquees are not for hire by the hour and are set up a day in advance to allow organisers/brides the time to decorate.
What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
We have many years of experience in the marquee business and would sincerely ask clients to compare quotations on a like for like basis as all too often one very subtle difference can mean success or failure. For this reason, a full itemised list of the WISH LIST is a great help in providing a competitive quotation.
Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.
The business was born out of long term hire at a site where the proprietors of that site decided to change from Wedding and Corporate marquees to accommodation in general B&B serviced apartments, holiday cottages etc.
The site had to be vacated and that started C&S as a Wedding and Corporate Marquee Hire Company.
Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?
C&S is very new to Add to Event and we are just beginning to see success. Add to Event are certainly able to generate the enquiries and I have often commented on this in spite of the lack of success initially.
We now look forward to a successful future with add to Event.
