Based in Fareham in Surrey, Hermanos Tacos is a Mexican mobile food caterer that operates out of a 1967 Citroen H Truck. They cater for a wide range of events from intimate weddings to private events.

What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?

Very simple. It is key to know the name, date/time, address, power/water, dietary requirements and budget. With this little bit of information we can start creating the best event for our clients. A contact number is a must, we speak to all potential clients over the phone to get as much information as possible, no matter what the size of the event we can create exactly the experience our client is after.

What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Ask about experience - too many caterers have little cooking experience they just have fancy trucks. Enquire about what's on the menu and how it was created. Ask about previous events and how they went, most importantly ask for reviews on all platforms. This is the only way you will get a true insight into the suppliers reputation.

Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.

Hermanos Tacos was born out of a life long love for food and hospitality. Between the two owners we have expertise in running successful bars, pubs, cocktail bars and FOH in silver service restaurants. Cooking wise we have extensive knowledge in cooking through working and training in rosette and michelin starred restaurants. A half year trip to Mexico inspired a love of street food, all recipes were learnt training in restaurants in Mexico, we are proud to be genuinely authentic.

Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?

Add to Event has filled our diary from the day we opened the account. We have cooked at weddings, birthday parties for all ages, summer garden parties, bar mitzvahs, festivals and many more. One very memorable event was cooking at Pinewood studios - we cooked for the cast and crew all afternoon the event was, like all a complete success.
