What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?

We always aim to tailor the event to make it as individual as possible for the organisers. For us, it's really important that the organiser gets the best service possible and that we serve everything that they want! In order to do this, we need to know the rough number of guests, location and whether there is a power source.

What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

I recommend they have a good look through their website and social media, to ensure that they really like the look of their bar and what they do. I personally think it's really important to do more than just communicate over messaging, pick up the phone and get a feel for the person and company. We always offer the opportunity to speak on the phone or to meet to discuss customer needs, it's really important.

Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.

The Jam Jar Cocktail Club was a result of a long teachers summer holiday. I used to be a full-time secondary school teacher, I struggled to sit around in the summer holidays for the full 6 weeks, so I built a bar and made a website - 5 years later and here I am! I love engaging with people and helping to design events. I have always been some who enjoys learning and helping people to get the best out of things and this gives me a chance to do that and work with my brother at the same time. I enjoy making people happy.

Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?

This platform has been fantastic for Eth and I. It has given us the opportunity to speak to people who want genuine bookings and the service means we can speak to people who are suited to us and who we can work with. We are fairly new to Add to Event but have a lot of bookings coming up this year and next already. We have been to a couple of amazing events so far, where we have served lovely guests. I would definitely recommend this company, they support both the suppliers and the customer to discover the service that is right for them.
