What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?

For us to provide a comprehensive quote to a customer, we ideally need to know where the event is being held, what the guest numbers are going to be, what the budget is and how are the drinks being paid for, what date and time the event is being held, any 'musts'. We can then tailor our service and quote accordingly, as well as provide suitable photos and bar tariffs from other events. It's also helpful to know if the organiser wants glassware or plastic/acrylic.

What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Check to make sure that your venue has power and water available and what their policy is on glasses. It's really important to have a budget in mind as this will drive the offering and also have an idea of what you would like to see on the drinks menu. Have a good idea about if you need waiting on staff to serve drinks and if you want arrival drinks and table wine.

Sips Mobile Bar was established to create an affordable, professional bar service at all event types. Having spent over 30 years in the hospitality trade, owner, Steve Davies wanted to make his own mark on the industry in the North West. Steve prides himself on having knowledge beyond the bar and offers more than just a bar service - attention to detail is key to the operation and ensuring that the hosts and guests have an amazing time.

We've taken a number of bookings now through Add to Event and have had the pleasure of delivering our mobile bar service in people's homes, wedding venues and event halls. We have made a great impression and people now want to book us again and recommend us to their friends.
