B-Squared Beer have two mobile bars serving delicious craft beers and locally sourced spirits to crowds all over the country. Here they share some useful advice on hiring a mobile bar, including what the suppliers need to know and what you should find out from them!

What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?

We would like to know the date, the number of guests (including children and minors), a brief overview of the event and what type of structure.

Additionally we would like an understanding of the types of drinks guests would be interested in as we tailor our stock to fully meet our customer's requirements.

What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

I would certainly ask the provider what they plan to provide and a rough price of each of the drinks they plan to stock.

I would also ask them how they came to do what they do - you get a fair idea of the passion they have for their business and how much time they have invested in understanding their chosen field.

Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.

We've always loved craft beer. Drinking it, brewing it and understanding what goes into making it. There are a wealth of beers out there in the world today and therefore so much variety but often smaller batch breweries get overlooked so we look to promote these smaller batch brewers and preferably ones local to us.

We do also consider the event and look within the local area so our offering is therefore truly local.

The same is also true of our spirits. We prefer to source local, smaller batch distillers.
