What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
If you're looking to hire a mobile bar ask the providers for a copy of their bar price list, if they do any special offers and what is included in the hire.
It is also a good idea to speak to the provider about what they require from you, this is usually just access to washing facilities and electricity.
Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.
ELM Vintage Bar Hire was formerly Quaff and Slosh but on Carl and Vanessa taking over, they rebranded to make it their own and named it ELM not only because they have wooden bars but each letter represents their children. Owner Vanessa has always had a passion for running weddings and events from working in hotels as a coordinator. Her big goal is to have her own unique wedding and events venue one day but for now, she along with husband Carl get to visit lots of amazing venues across Norfolk, Suffolk and parts of Cambridgeshire with their pop up vintage bar providing great service and variety of drinks to their customers.
Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?
Add to Event has been an amazing platform for us to get our name out there. We have been quoting for lots of events and have taken a few bookings for mobile bars.
We provided our bar service for a wedding reception earlier this year at Top Farm in Marsham, the bride and groom had got married abroad a few weeks before and this was the celebration for all those who could not attend. We provided our full bar set up with 6 members off staff for 300 guests and it was busy. Everyone was having a great time and the drinks were flowing nicely. The bride and groom were very happy with the service we provided and passed our details on to their friends who have also now booked us for their up and coming wedding!
