What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?

Ideally, we like to know a bit about what you really like. What kind of stuff do you enjoy day-to-day so we can incorporate a bit of your personality into what we can offer? We need to know what kind of scale your event will be on and, of course, the timings of your event. This allows us to have an accurate idea of timings to make sure your day goes really smoothly and seamlessly.

What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

I'd say take your time. Please don't be afraid to ask any questions through the messaging platform because your day needs to be perfect! Give us a call if you need to discuss anything and don't think a question is silly just because it seems trivial - it may be a really important point for you that is an essential and it may be really easy for us to make that change for you.

Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.

We work for the NHS and in our day jobs, we can deal with quite distressing and upsetting things. We wanted to branch out and get involved with a completely different aspect of people's lives. We love weddings for this exact reason - it's the happiest day of people's lives. There's something really great about sharing that with people and helping to deliver that. Outside weddings there's also the birthday parties/anniversaries etc. but the principle remains the same - we LOVE giving people their best day. The smiles really make you feel like you're doing a great job!

Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?

The Add to Event platform is really easy to use for both suppliers and event organisers. We get the email through, send the quote and you reply (if you like our style!) - it's as easy as that. There's no fuss nor hassle and you know you're only getting serious people quoting you as it costs to quote, so there are no time wasters. We get excited when an event comes through and it's still exciting when someone messages back or confirms your company for their event!
