What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?

For us to produce a comprehensive quote to our customers, we will need to know the following; approximate guest numbers, your chosen date, the event location and finally your event timings. If offering our 'Cash Bar' services, in which your guests pay for their drinks, this is all information we require to establish the minimum spend, to ensure our costs are covered.

What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

If looking to hire a professional bar company, I would always suggest exploring their Add to Event page first. This will give you an insight into their business as well as a chance to take a look at images of what is on offer.
Many bar companies are flexible when it comes to running a bar at your event, don't be afraid to ask questions or enquire about special requests (such as what is served on draft), any good bar company should be able to offer you your favourite tipples!

Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.

Meeting in a busy festival production office back in 2009, Thea and Tom (our directors) have been working together as Bar and Event Managers ever since.
Melt Bars and it's sister company Melt Productions were created out of a love of live events and a passion to go above and beyond peoples expectations... Creating memorable events is what we do and we couldn't be prouder!

Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?

Last summer we produced a Bollywood inspired 50th birthday party near Bath - We created a bespoke cocktail menu for the guests (all were simply delicious and went down a storm!) We also provided lighting and themed decor throughout our client's house as well as top-notch DJ entertainment and professional Bollywood dancers... Two of the guests were cocktail connoisseurs and had come over to the party from New York and couldn't stop complimenting the menu!
