Harvey's Grill is a family-run mobile catering service based in North Wales, covering events at all areas and regions throughout Wales. They provide fresh bean to cup coffee, ice cold slush, popcorn, candy floss, burgers and hot dogs along with fresh cakes and muffins. Harvey's Grill has an advantage over many providers as they supply their own equipment including generators and lighting, meaning they can trade at all times in almost any location.

What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?

To provide a full quote to a customer we require some simple information such as the date of the event, a rough idea of attendance to the event, and times the event takes place.

What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

When booking a service for your event, think about what you want from them as the cheapest isn't always best! Look for references from other events they have attended, certificates showing they know what they are doing within the industry and see that the trailer you're booking is clean and meets requirements set out by local council, trading standards and is covered by a Gas Safe Certificate.

Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.

We set up Harvey's Grill as an add-on to our already busy events business. It was the missing piece of the puzzle and we were asked regularly if we knew of a good quality food operator so it really was a no-brainer. Moving forward, we aim to be the best at what we do - offering brand-name products, fresh bean coffee and great hot food. Not the cheapest food we can find! Quality is worth paying for.
