What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?
To provide an accurate we would ask for the following information. Date and time of the event, Location of the venue, Duration of the event and any add-ons required. With this basic information, we would work with our client to provide a perfectly matched service.
What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Always ask the provider to provide evidence of PLI insurance and PAT testing certificates for your peace of mind. Ask if they are prepared to work with you to build a playlist that suits both you and your guests. Ask for reviews from previous clients.
Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.
I started KL Music (formerly Duke Bock's Party Train) after my partner in a duet loaded up the waggons the family and the dog and moved 250 miles away. I used to DJ locally in my teens before moving into playing with rock bands. I have been firstly a musician all my life and love to entertain, having an extensive record collection moving back to DJing was an obvious choice. I ran the business part-time for 4 years before taking the plunge and making it a full-time professional service.
Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?
We have had numerous bookings through Add To Event. Out of the 10 clients that have given feed back 10 have given us 5 stars. Add To Event enquiries now form a substantial part of our diary. Each and every event is different but each and every one has been a success and our clients have always been happy with our service. I always recommend clients post on Add To Event for their event if we don't have the date available.
