What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?

There are a few basic things we need to know to be able to give an exact quote. Firstly the date and times as we will never double book ourselves, the number of guests to ensure we have the correct sound system. But most importantly is the reason for the party as unlike many other companies we have guys specialising in different areas like you wouldn’t want a do that does 18ths doing your wedding and equally a wedding DJ doing a kids party.

What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

The best advice we can give future customers is to read our reviews, we may not be the cheapest company out there but what you do get is value for money, we are one of the few companies that have 12 DJs that actually work for the company and we contract no work out, once we’re booked we’re booked but we do always have a spare DJ just in case who is at hand all evening. That’s why we deliver every time and on time as we cover the problem that may never happen and our DJs are at the top of their game.

Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.

DJ Ash was started many years ago with the view of giving people value for money and a decent sound and light system. We have all been to the discos where the sound is sore on your ears and you can’t understand what someone is saying over the microphone plus there are cables everywhere and the DJ is using a table with lights on the floor. Well I looked at this and said people deserve more and now I've built the company and set high standards from the start with top of the range sound system plus bang up to date lights and all my DJ's have a correct stand so no more cables everywhere and on top of that it looks so much better and gives the feel of the disco, we do the same set up for kids parties.

Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?

We are new to Add to Event but so far we have had a few bookings and as you can see by the feedback they have all been great from our point of view and the customers, Add to Event is a good way for companies like mine to ensure I keep my guys busy as the last thing I want to do is start looking or training more DJs. If I could keep mine or contract work out that’s how people get horrendous reviews as let’s face it, if you're not booked up there is a reason why!
