What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?

Hi for us to go forward on your inquiry, please provide a date, venue address and postcode, any particular issues from guests attending with relation to stage lighting effects and smoke.
Would the function room be on the ground floor at the venue with relation to access to help us load and unload equipment for the duration?
Is parking local for us to leave the vehicle in close proximity for a faster set up and take down time.

As a 50 yr old and being in this business for 30yrs plus, we know our onions so to speak, we're not the most expensive nor the cheapest but you are getting a very good Disco and DJ set up for your event with measures in place to limit any problems should they arise using our past experience

Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.

I lived across the road from a small local social club that held family functions on a weekly basis and was fascinated by the look as a child at family parties and sound listening in my bedroom as the old building leaked like a sieve of mobile discotheques, from then on, that was my ambition, I was buying records at primary school and all through my teenage years playing music in my bedroom as a 'DJ' but with no equipment, only a small HiFi system as money was tight back then.
I attended our youth club and found they used a double-deck disco unit!, all my Xmas's came at once. I was then the Youth club DJ playing every Friday night.
Time progressed then night clubs came along for a couple of years and out the blue the local Disco which used to play across the road from me was looking for a Roadie, success, the disco that I watched as a 5-year-old, I was going to go out with them on nights out which I only dreamed about.
Years went by, a family came along and around 8 years ago I was bitten by the Disco bug again and named the business Ace of Clubs Entertainment, emulated from The Ace of Clubs Roadshow founded 1973 from which my dream as a 5-year-old started.

So when they say do dreams come true, for me that was a yes!

Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?

In have had a few bookings from this organiser, the most recent to date was a function at an art gallery for the local NHS nurses xmas party

From the onset, the function room was on the top floor but there was a lift and a friend of mine offered to come along and help which was a godsend
The evening progressed with everyone up pretty quick for a boogie as the speeches went on and on and I am sure folk were itching to get up and have a good time
We lit the place like a night club and even the art gallery staff were so impressed that future bookings were made that night.
A massive thank -you was given by all the guests that swooped up all my business cards which was a good sign!
