What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?
For a comprehensive and accurate quote for a DJ, we always need a definite event type. E.g. wedding, christening, 18th, kids party etc. A lot of people also give a music genre which is great, or a mixture of music would be good as well.
What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Always ask a DJ what service they require. Insurance and PAT certificate is so important. So many DJs don't have this. Find out what experience the DJ has. So many people ask for cheap and this is never the best. The reason we are not as cheap as others is to all things I've mentioned and quality equipment. If in doubt ask questions. A dialogue with DJ is always good and even if its after the event, please leave a review, it's so great to hear from our customers.
Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.
I've been a DJ and entertainer for 20 years - working as Re-Pete Discos for nearly 10 of those years. Having worked on TV and radio I love entertaining people and bringing a smile to someone's face. From school discos to weddings and kids to 90th birthdays, I relish whatever event I do giving it 100%.
Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?

An example of this, is when I took a disco of someone in my local area living a 2 minute drive from me. From that I got customers for life.
