What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?
To enable me to provide a full detailed quote for you please ensure you provide the following information; location or venue, start time, finish time If you would like a big set up what time we can access for setup, timeline plan. For example 7 pm background music, the main disco from 9 pm and finish at midnight.
What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
If you are looking to hire a DJ for your Wedding / Significant Birthday / Corporate event check to ensure they have experience and the correct type of equipment - you would not want a laptop/pub DJ to do your big Marquee Wedding with a pair of small speakers and no idea about how to introduce your first dance!
Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.
I started DJing in the 90s and was taught by two very experienced ex-club DJs who made me understand it’s all about the client and delivering the most amazing experience for them. When I started all I did was help setup and pack-down and obviously watch closely what the DJ was doing, eventually I gained enough experience to start off on my own and now these days am booked over a year in advance for many dates and have the most wonderful time DJing for people at a level many can only dream to reach.
Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?
I’ve mainly had Weddings book through Add to Event, brides and grooms who knew what they wanted look and style-wise but had not been able to find by simply doing a Google Search. I like the fact that this website allows me to see many potential jobs in detail and if I choose to bid on that job the ability to send a lot of information to the client quickly and efficiently. I love using Add to Event (Does that get me free credits ;) )
