What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?

We like to get an idea of the objective, theme, and feel for the event so that we can offer the best bespoke service for our bar hire. It's always good to start with Who (the occasion is for), What (the bar requirements are - any specific or special requests), When, Where, and Why (the reason for the celebration). It is also useful to know approximate guest numbers, whether there is any power on-site, and event timings.

What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

It's important that you specify exactly what you would like and ask the provider how they could meet your expectations. It's also worth asking the provider what sets them apart from other providers in the area. Have a good look at the provider's website and social media channels to see how professional their work is, and read previous customer reviews.

Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.

I absolutely love happy events and occasions. With years of experience of delivering events for all occasions, I would always be looking forward to the next one and planning how I could make it amazing. During the national lockdowns, I had plenty of time to think, and I recognised that so many people desperately missed social occasions. So I set up my own business as a way of utilising all my skills and expertise in an area that I absolutely love whilst also being able to bring joy to my customers by being able to help them to make their celebrations amazing.

Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?

I can't yet write about a booking I have had through Add to Event, because I am new here and haven't had any so far. However, I love the concept and I think it is a great platform for customers to be matched with suppliers who can meet their needs and provide a bespoke package for those important celebrations.
