Happy Place Pizza provides pop up Neapolitan style pizza, serving the North West and served from a Vintage VW transporter van and gazebo. They not only make great pizzas but also stand out in a crowd. They offer to come to your house and cook pizzas for parties of 10 or more or be part of your festival/corporate event/wedding.

What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?

I would like the organiser to be concise as to whether they are willing to negotiate with prices and also to be specific with the arrangements. I need them to be clear on access to the venue (vehicle access/slopes/grass/turning circle etc) and finally I would like them to be understand that fresh food is exactly that, and time is needed for prep and cooking. Be realistic with their requirements. ie, 100 pizza in 1 hour is not doable.
Inform the customer that is costs the suppliers to reply to their request, so ask them to be specific and ask them to send a reason for not selecting the supplier.

What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

My advice would be:
Be as descriptive as possible with your requirements, and include exact timings. You could include 'in an ideal world it would work like this' scenario and thirdly I would say be prepared to discuss options with your quoter as the first response may be flexible. As with everything, communication is absolutely key. Check your emails regularly so you don't miss the quote.

Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.

I started the business because I already have a mobile bar, and I wanted something to compliment my offering. Also, I have realised that a lot of event organisers like to take the revenue from the bar themselves, so they are not willing to give the spot out to a trader.
I chose pizzas, because its 'low risk', low waste, quick, and high profit. Although I am finding out it is very labour intensive lol.
Also everyone likes pizza!

Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?

I have had so many enquiries through Add to Event, which has led to future bookings. I have just completed a booking at Chester SU which was great. I have learned to lower exceptions though. If the organiser says 400 people, it will be more like 200.
Take an enquiry with a pinch of salt and be happy taking half of what you would like. I was very happy with the event that being said.
As for recommending Add to Event, I absolutely would. Sometimes the way the replies are priced don't really make sense, but on the whole, I would say its totally worth it.
Please have an option to purchase more than 80 credits. It would be very beneficial to me and probably others if we could purchase 100s of credits in advance.
