What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?
I need to know what type of food is required and the service needed. I would also need to know if there is equipment to cook on. I would also need to know the amount of people attending, including any dietaries.
What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
They need to know if the private chef is insured, what terms and conditions are for the deposit and final payment. The menu availability and if they are trained in dietaries.
Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.
Tim Carr Catering was started because I was fed up of being made redundant. I know that I can provide a great service with amazing food. I started using my contacts within the industry to give me a jump start.
Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?
I am yet to complete a booking through Add to Event. I do however, have 2 events booked in my diary. I have created bespoke menus for both of the dinner parties, both very different. There has been a lot of traffic available to choose from. I have been very picky in taking events that I know that I can complete, well.
