What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?

We want to provide the quiz exactly as the customer wants it, so the more information we have, the better the quiz experience!
Ideally, we would need the event date, a brief explanation of the type of event they are hosting, the estimated number of guests, the type of venue, and any specific subjects (including those related to the company or crowd) so that we can tailor the quiz to your exact specifications. It's also really helpful to know how much time we have, so we can maximise the use of the time we have whilst also ensuring the quiz finishes on time.

What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

I would recommend that clients seek a few quotes of course, but it's also really important to understand exactly what you'll be getting from the service they are providing. I think you're far more likely to get what you want from your event if the quiz providers are willing and happy to offer you flexibility with regards to the format and type of questions used- anyone can provide a quiz, but that level of care and personalisation can make all the difference between an okay experience and a truly excellent one!
Having that personal touch and communication from your choice of provider really is essential when planning a successful event like this.

Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.

Mark, the founder of Lucky Cow Quiz Co. has always loved quizzing- in fact he loves them so much that he's been on a couple of TV quiz shows!
After volunteering at a school and orphanage in Kibera slum- the largest slum in Africa and home to over 1 million people in Nairobi, Kenya- Mark started hosting charity quizzes to raise funds for them.
He enjoyed it so much that he realised that he could turn his love of quizzes into a unique and fun business.
He's taken ideas from lots of different quiz experiences and combined them into one brilliant quiz product that has something for everyone.

Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?

We've hosted at so many brilliant events, all of them great fun and enjoyable in their own way, so it's impossible to pick one in particular.
It's so gratifying to bring something a bit different to events as varied as a small and intimate wedding, right up to an event for over 100 people, and the quiz works so well for any sized event.
