What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?
For us to provide a comprehensive quote we need to know the location of the event, how many guests we need to cater for, what type of event it is, whether it is inside or outside and the date so that we can check that we can cater on that date.
What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
I would ensure they check with the provider exactly what they offer and if they have relevant qualifications, for example food hygiene if it is a food based company. Also, check to see if they can cater for specific requirements if you have them.
Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.
I started my business less than a year ago by just making confectionery wedding/party favours as I have always had a real passion for running my own business and found a gap in the market for this area. As I began to grow I brought in the Candy Cart and have been attending wedding fairs, engaging my huge love of making people's special events that little bit more memorable by providing my cart dressed and full of sweets with a friendly, helpful service.
Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?
I have only joined a few days ago and have sent a few quotes which I am hoping will turn into bookings. I love the idea of the site and it's very easy to use. I can't wait to work more with the site and I know it will really help to grow my business and give customers the piece of mind that they will be getting a great service. I would definitely recommend this site to anyone in a similar situation.
