What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?
The customer is at the heart of everything we do. So, in order to ensure that they are happy and that we are giving good value, it's important that we have details of what type of event it is, location (indoors or outdoors), the number of expected guests, dietary requirements if any, and any other customer preference. From the information provided, we can provide not just a comprehensive quote, but also make recommendations to enhance the customer experience.
What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Don't hesitate to ask the provider questions to help clarify any aspect of the intended booking. It helps ensure that both provider and customer fully understand the brief and that they are on the same page.
As a sweet treat company we get customers with food allergies and dietary requirements so it's essential that we provide exactly what the customer requires hence we must ensure that needs are fully understood.
Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.
SweetDoughThings was born out of my love for baking which I find very therapeutic. We started with baked treats and then introduced the sweets which funny enough have taken the spotlight in our business. In addition to the classic sweets and treats, we're passionate about catering for those with dietary requirements. We understand inclusion and believe those who have dietary requirements or just want to live a healthier lifestyle can enjoy vegan and sugar-free sweet treats without compromising on taste.
Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?
We've had a number of bookings via this platform, and we've successfully catered for all. Bearing in mind that no two events are the same, every party being unique in its own way, our aim is to always add a certain je ne sais quoi to every event we cater. However, if I had to pick one, it would be a corporate event that we catered, a staff appreciation/awards ceremony in London where we served approximately 350 people. The client was super impressed with the service and the fact that we worked with their budget. So much so that we've been added to their permanent supplier database!
