Bar Events UK, of Leeds, provides tipi hire (also known as tepee hire or teepee hire), bar hire and event staff throughout West Yorkshire. With giant tipi tents which hold from 50 to 250 people, perfect for an outdoor wedding, they also have great mobile bars to hire which come with draught beer and cocktails as standard. They can supply waiting staff, regular bartenders and cocktail bartenders for smaller and larger events - whether you have 10 or 1,000 guests. They cater for all events, including weddings and corporate functions.
What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?
For us to provide a comprehensive quote to a customer, initially we need the basics such as the event date, location, an idea of guest numbers and rough timings for our services. It also helps if we can get a bit more of a detailed feel for their event. If we were to provide tepees, it would be good to know how they would like the space to work for them, i.e. space to sit [number] of guests, room for a bar, dance floor etc.
If we were supplying a bar, it would be good to know whether guests will be paying for drinks or whether the event organiser would like to put on a free bar for guests. Should they require event staff, we would need to know what hours the staff would be required to work and an idea of what they would be doing in order to quote accurately. Basically, the more information the better so we can use our expertise to suggest set ups and services that will work best for each of our customers.
What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Our advice would be to ask as many questions as you wish. Often people apologise for asking so much but they are quite right to do so. As a provider, being part of someone's wedding or event is quite a responsibility - we know that an efficient and effective service is crucial; so, as the organiser, it's good to know you have chosen wisely. Although budget does tend to sway decisions ultimately, our advice would be not to base decisions solely on price - as with anything in life, you do tend to get what you pay for. Going with a company with a proven track record is also very important. We would also suggest asking for testimonials and photos of similar events the company has been involved in. It's good to know people are as experienced and professional as they say they are.

BAR Events UK is a family run business. Our small, tight knit team are extremely passionate about what we do and about ensuring we offer all our customers an outstanding service. Customer service excellence is at the forefront of all we do. Following on from our hospitality backgrounds, we started out back in 2009, supplying event staff and mobile bars for weddings, private parties and corporate events. Our passion for running events just keeps growing! We are about to embark on another season hiring out our stunning giant tepees which create a rustic and atmospheric venue for all types of events.
Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?
We get loads of great enquiries through Add to Event. They range from intimate birthday parties to large weddings, which is just great. One of our favourites so far was a birthday party at a lovely house in North Yorkshire, where a small group of friends had an afternoon cocktail masterclass. Small scale events such as these are just brilliant as we really get to know the clients and really get involved in the fun of the occasion. Our clients had a brilliant time and the masterclass really kick started their celebrations. In contrast, coming up this summer we have a much bigger booking for a wedding in Leeds where we will be supplying giant tepees and a full wedding bar. Add to Event has been a great way to meet brides-to-be and really get to grips with what they need for their big day. When it comes to events, we don't like to pick favourites but we do love to be part of a good old wedding!!
