What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?
We need the event date, item(s) required for hire, & the period of hire required (1-3 days is standard, above this we charge extra). The venue or at least the area is vital if it's a delivery/collection, as sometimes we do have to charge extra if it is outside of our standard area.
What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Ensure you have at least 3 quotes. Research each provider to ensure they are professional & have some experience. Ideally, look at where they are based & ensure they have a sound business. If they have a showroom or facility, ask if you can see the items you are looking to hire before you commit.
Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.
We are Event Prop Hire MK. The trading name of MK61 Ltd. Based in Milton Keynes & covering a 15-25 mile radius for prop deliveries to events.
We are here to provide the coolest props around to help events be something people will remember for years to come. As well as props to hire, we also have some fabulous items for sale.
We provide our props direct to the public as well as being a trade supplier to Wedding / Event / Party Planners & Venues to help them achieve their vision for any event.
