Jo Cruz- DJ

Ladbroke Grove, Johan Cruz, AKA Dj Jo Cruz, started his musical journey when his Uncle purchased his first LP player and he had a combination of Salsa, POP, and reggae music records from superstars such as Hector Lavoe from Puerto Rico to Michael Jackson. Johan started to play and scratch his uncle's records without him knowing. It was at this moment that Dj Jo Cruz knew he wanted to be part of 'The Scene' at the young age of 10.

He first became interested in Electronic and House music in 2001, while in the clubbing screen. In 2006, his Mum bought him his first set of PC controller decks. By the age of 25, he knew which type of music he was into; House Music, but was still influenced by his Latin side which is Salsa, Merengue, and Reggaeton.

Disco House, Deep House, Deep Techno, Latin House, and Afrohouse/Afrotech are just some of the music he has played on his sets.

Johan looks up to many DJs around the world such as Solomon, Black Coffee, Sam Divine, and Todd Terry, just to name a few and he also loves the current House Music from South Africa. He is always looking to improve his skills on the decks and plays the hottest tracks for the public. Collaborations have been made with teams in Colombia and South Africa to promote his DJ skills. His goal is to play at more worldwide venues and is currently producing his own music!
