What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?
For us to provide a comprehensive quote to a customer, we would ideally require an event date, type of location for the event and a rough idea of budget. We offer a wide range of services and the more booked the cheaper everything gets, therefore we would appreciate the opportunity to quote for as much as possible. We always find its best to have a chat over the phone once the initial details are received so please include a contact number.
What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
My advice would be to ask about what services are included when receiving quotes or making a booking. If you are hosting a party for example and hiring a mobile bar, you may need to provide glassware, ice, ice chests etc yourself. This can add to the cost very quickly if you do not have these services already and have to purchase or hire them separately. I would also highly recommend speaking to the company you are booking to get an idea of their enthusiasm. The last thing you want at your event is miserable bar staff.
Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.
Bar Rah is run by people with a passion for events and parties. We feel one of the most important things we can contribute to any event is friendly, fun and enthusiastic staff. We take a very personal approach when working an event from the initial contact, through planning, set-up, serving and clean up. We are always honoured to be part of anyone's occasion and feel this is reflected throughout the process.
Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?
We have taken lots of bookings through Add To Event however one that sticks in my memory was a 25th birthday party hosted at the family's home. For the event, we provided a marquee for the garden along with furniture to create a 'VIP' seating & chill out area, cocktail bar and sound system. Everyone who attended had a fantastic time and so did we. The party carried on until the early hours and we had a genuinely fantastic time working it. I have since recommended Add to Event to other companies in the industry, it is a great tool that works very well at putting supplier and client in touch with each other.
