Nick and Andy's Coffee Ltd provide artisan coffee and cakes from their lovingly restored and customised vintage Citroen 2CV in Gloucestershire and the surrounding areas. Using milk from local dairies and top of the range machines, delicious coffee can be supplies to large numbers of guests - over 1000 cups a day - due to the Citroen being fitted with two dual group espresso machines instead of one.

What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?

For us to provide a comprehensive quote to a customer, ideally we need the event date, a brief explanation of the type of event they are hosting, the estimated number of guests, and potential venue, whether it's an indoor or outdoor event. We also need to know what power, if any, you have available. From this, we can use our experience and expertise to put together a suitable quote.

What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

If you're looking for artisan coffee, you need to ask your prospective provider about how they make great coffee. What coffee, tea and milk do they use and how do they treat their water? What grinder do they use and how frequently is it serviced? Most importantly, how much training and experience do the staff have? A great artisan coffee company ticks all of the boxes above as missing one will result in poor and/or inconsistent drinks.

Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.

Nick and Andy love coffee. When attending an event that had a reasonable coffee, they believed they could do a better job. A few months of planning later and they were right. Nick and Andy now have their dream job of making people happy by sharing their love of amazing coffee.

Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?

We've just accepted our first booking through Add to Event. Until now, all our events have been through personal contacts and word of mouth. This event is on our doorstep (almost literally) and the contact we've had so far seems like they're a lovely bunch. We're really looking forward to serving amazing coffee to the families at this wonderful community event. We'd definitely recommend Add to Event to organisers and other traders as the platform is really slick.
