Black Middens Coffee Company are a mobile coffee van operating out of a classic Citroen HY van called Connell in the Nort East of England. Customers love the coffee but also the whole experience of the classic Citroen van which is normally located on a really spectacularly beautiful site overlooking the River Tyne.
What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?
We require event date and location, indoors or outdoors and access information for our vehicle. Also, availability of electricity and water and timing for events and coffee is not suitable for later events.
What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Ask about their coffee and baked goods, where they are sourced from and the staff who work on the mobile van. Check out reviews and comments.
Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.
We started the business during Lockdown. I had always wanted to have a mobile coffee van and being furloughed allowed me to develop this idea and put everything in place to start the business. We also saw a huge need for coffee as people spent their days walking along the coastline and all cafes and restaurants were shut.
Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?
No bookings as of yet as we are new to this platform and hope that our business will grow very soon with the help of Add to Event.
