The Happy Food Group serves American pancakes from a converted rice horsebox. Menus are tailored to each individual event but they all "put a smile on everyone’s face! " Their advice is shared below on what to ask when hiring a supplier.
What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?
For me to provide an accurate quote I will need to know the event date, location and number of guests. I will also need to know the power supply which is there and any dietary requirements. From this, I can put together a suitable price for any kind of event!
What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
I would ask the provider for as many images as possible of their work. I would also ask for all social media links so you can have a look at their reviews, comments like etc. This will give you the best idea of what sort of feedback they get from their product and if they're reputable provider.
Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.
I started my business because of my love of cooking. I love to make people smile with my food! I went to New York with my mum a few years ago and fell in love with the pancakes out there which is why I decided to start off with the American Pancakes. I want to build a business filled with a variety of vintage mobile units serving up the tastiest of food that you might not necessarily have thought of/seen at events.

Catering for a corporate Pancake Tuesday event was very successful with great reviews.
