What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?

For us to submit a comprehensive decoration quote we need the organizer to give us an idea of her expectation in terms of design. We also desire to know the budget, that is, how far she wants to go in making a statement with the event decoration. And finally, we appreciate a clear understanding of the arrangements with the venue such as venue opening and closing time. Most importantly we want to know how many hours are available for us to complete our job.

What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

A customer looking to hire a vendor in my area must make sure you have a discussion with the vendor, in that way you get an insight of how much they understand your brief and how well They know their job. You should also go through their social media account to see previous jobs and finally, you should have them provide a written memorandum of the understanding of what both of you have agreed on.

Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.

We started the business from helping friends plan their parties and decorate their venues. We were encouraged by the same friends to take this up as a business after they saw how good our job was. We gathered some finance from previous savings and invested in modern venue dressing items.

Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?

My memory of a booking we've had through Add to Event was dressing a reception venue we decorated for a couple in Coventry. It was exciting because the bride trusted us with suggesting her theme and designs from the beginning after giving us her colour and a good knowledge of her expectations. We nailed it with an elaborate design of our blossom trees to the greatest amazement of the couple and their guests. The appreciations and feedbacks made our efforts really worth the while.
