What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?
We are flexible with all details of an event but the more information organisers can provide us, the more accurate the products, prices and services offered will be. Details must include the expected numbers of guests, approximate start times and finish times, who is paying for the food or pitch costs, a rough idea of food required and what type of event is being planned. Useful information would include potential venue locations, dates for the event, ideal/maximum budget, any additional required items or specific dietary requirements and any other relevant information. The more specific the customer is the more decisive the planning and execution will be.
What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Think about what you actually want from a food van. Is this possible or how does this work. Make a list of any queries or concerns you may have and let us ease your worries and help. Ask questions. We are experienced caterers and can offer valuable incite from other events to help you plan your own. Ask about the products, why we sell what we sell, inquire if it is suitable for you and your guests. Ask about hygiene ratings and safety certificates and sources of the food. Ask what is included in the price and ascertain if there would be any possible extra costs. Finally do your research. Read reviews of possible providers, check there websites and social media and view photos of their work.
Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.
We started Go Get Stuffed to offer our unique tastes and flavours to the country. After sampling many poor and sub-par meals at events, and with our experience of food we sought out to make the best street food in the world. Using our knowledge of cooking, our families recipe books and trial and error food experiments combined with our quirky artistic style and flair Go Get stuffed was born. Personally I am passionate about quality food as our ever evolving menu shows and believe that gourmet flavours should be available to everyone from posh dinner parties to music festivals to family gatherings. The smiles our food brings to everyone makes me happy.
Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?
I am a strong advocate of Add to Event. I would estimate around half of our jobs and contacts have started from their website. We have enjoyed many good bookings since signing up and they have allowed us to showcase our products to a whole host of different clients. The diverse range of jobs has given us plenty of opportunity to improve our menu and to put our cooking skills and flexibility to the test and I must (modestly) say impress. Though I have enjoyed all our events, catering for Freddie Flintoff and his Ashes legends at Alderley Edge cricket club was a personal highlight. Everyone had a wonderful time, including us and we raised lots of money for charity. This was one of our first large scale catering opportunities and we have enjoyed many more since then thanks to our food, vision and of course this website.
