Make Your Own (MYO) Street Food is a Wiltshire based bespoke catering service born out of one woman's desire for custom food for even the fussiest eater. Catering everything from private parties to entire weddings, MYO offers each customer a personal experience – something memorable and perfect, no matter the occasion.

What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?

The details required to provided a quote would be: your event date and location, expected numbers (we don't need to know final numbers straight away) and your idea of budget - it is MYO Street Food’s aim to work with customers to provide something they're happy with financially.

What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Ask the supplier where they source their ingredients; especially meat - if you're willing to pay for a caterer at your event, make sure you get good service. Ask what they need in terms of power or water - you don't want any nasty surprises on the event day! Ask about gluten free, veggie and vegan items on the menu and ask about set up times - so you can make any necessary preparations.

Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.

MYO was born out of Victoria's love of food. Ever since she was young enough to remember, she's had a fascination with it. Cookery programs, eating out, recipe books - she couldn't get enough! At the age of eleven, she read a book which inspired her to open a restaurant. Since that day, she dreamt of making this dream becoming a reality, and in 2014 - it started coming to life. MYO started as a street food concept, by way of a stepping stone to a restaurant. However, after realising how fun the street food scene is, Victoria fell in love with the concept and has instead decided to expand her mobile catering side. She travelled around Italy to research the best ingredients, recipes and dough for her pizza. She learnt the language and scouted out all the best street food, and vans for inspiration. She came back with a clear idea of what to do. Since then, her love for food has not ceased and MYO has grown into a nice little business; catering across the country at private and public events; serving a quality and authentic product.

Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?

I've loved being a member of Add to Event. My favourite was probably one for Josie Eastwood - she wanted a caterer for her art gallery anniversary for 180 people. It turned out to be a beautiful day and the whole day just went so well. I took a team of 3 and we handed out canapes; and other people came to the van to choose from a huge selection of hot pizza and arancini. The guests were all so happy; and it led to 3 more bookings :)
