What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?
For us to be able to put together a quote there are only a few things that we need. The three main pieces of information that we need from a customer are the date, the location (Venue or Postcode) and the number of guests. This way we are able to put together a basic quote. For a more comprehensive quote, we would need a brief explanation of the type of event, how long our services will be required for (eg. 2-4 hours or 6-8 hours) and whether the event is taking place inside or outside. With all of this information, we will be able to put together a comprehensive quote for the customer.
What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
There are many things to think about when it comes to looking for a mobile bar. But the main thing to think about as a customer is what you want. Ask about what drinks are on offer on the menu and what you can get that is tailored to your needs. Most providers will have a wealth of knowledge about certain drinks and what is local to your area. Meaning that they can normally change and adapt what is on their menu, to suit your needs.
With our area of work, it also comes down to the venue requirements. Ideally, it needs to have both power and water supply. If power isn't available then it needs to be a location or venue that allows generators. This way, we are able to keep our fridges cool and the beer flowing. We know there is nothing worse than a warm beer on a hot Summers day.
Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.
Dub Bar was born from a love for socialising and partying to the highest standard. Our passion is to bring the best possible experience to all of the Weddings, parties and events that we attend, as well as providing quality made products and personal service. Providing an awesome atmosphere along with all of the other qualities of a good bar is what it's all about. This is what we strive to do with all of our work, we want all of our customers to have the best possible time with us at their event. With this in mind, Dub Bar was born, creating a Mobile Bar service with a difference. After all, you wouldn't want people who didn't know how to party serving your guests drinks.
Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?
If we had to pick one, it would be the surprise 30th Birthday party we attended recently near Brighton! A die-hard Ibiza fanatic got the birthday party of his dreams, courtesy of his partner. We had the best time partying with all of the 150+ guests and the birthday boy as they drank on through the night and into the early hours of the morning. The 20 hour day was definitely worth it as all the reviews were amazing and we couldn't have asked for a better customer or group of people. The atmosphere was awesome! We have already recommended this platform to a number of suppliers that we work closely with and they have been happy with both the exposure it is giving them and the bookings that they are getting from Add to Event.
